How Parallel Minds Studio handles data on this website. Last updated 18 September 2026.
The short version
This site sets no cookies, has no accounts, and runs no third-party advertising or tracking scripts. If you never contact us and never sign up for the newsletter, we never learn who you are.
Analytics
We count page views with Umami, self-hosted on our own server. It stores no cookies and no identifier that would follow you to another site. What is recorded is aggregate: which page was viewed, the referring site, an approximate location (the country, and the city where the database knows one), and a coarse browser and device type. Nothing in it identifies an individual, and it is never shared or sold.
Prices in your currency
A product page shows its price in one of four currencies, chosen from the country of your connection. That country is read from a copy of the MaxMind GeoLite2 database kept on our own server; your address is looked up there and nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
The contact form
The form on the contact page is delivered by Formspree, which receives the name, email address and message you type in order to pass them to us. We keep the resulting email as long as the conversation is useful. Emailing info@parallel-minds.studio directly skips Formspree entirely.
The newsletter
If you sign up, we keep your email address and the date you confirmed it, at Resend, until you leave. We write when something ships, a few times a year, and for nothing else. Every message carries a link that removes you at once, and writing to info@parallel-minds.studio does the same. Nothing is stored until you click the confirmation link, so an address typed by someone else never joins the list.
Per product
Each product adds its own specifics: what the software does on your machine, and what happens around a purchase. All three follow.
Buying software
Purchases are handled by Stripe, which processes your payment details. We never see or store a card number. After a purchase, your email address is used once to send your licence key, through Resend. Each product’s own privacy policy covers this in full:
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to info@parallel-minds.studio and we will answer within a month. If we handle it badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Our Commitment
Reverie is committed to protecting your privacy. We believe in minimal data collection and do not store your personal information on our servers.
We Don't Store Your Personal Data
We don't collect, store, or process your personal information ourselves. All personal data processing is handled by trusted third-party services during the purchase process. The only data we store is anonymous analytics (see below).
Third-Party Services
When you make a purchase, the following services handle your data:
- Stripe (payment processor & invoicing) – stores your email, name, billing address, and payment information to process your order and generate your invoice. See stripe.com/privacy
- Resend (email delivery) – temporarily processes your email address to send your license key
We never see or store your payment card details. These are transmitted directly to Stripe's secure servers.
Minimal Analytics
This website uses Umami, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool hosted on our own servers. It collects:
- Page views (which pages are visited)
- General device type (desktop/mobile) and browser
- Country of origin (from anonymized IP)
- Button clicks (downloads, audio demos)
Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. No data is shared with third parties. All analytics data is stored on our own server.
The Desktop Application
The Reverie desktop application:
- Works entirely offline after activation
- Does not collect any usage data or telemetry
- Does not transmit any information to our servers
- Processes all your audio files locally on your computer
Your audio files and creative work remain completely private. This applies to the macOS, Windows and Linux builds alike.
The iPad App
The Reverie app for iPad, including its two AUv3 audio units:
- Processes all your audio locally on your device
- Works without an account and makes no network connections
- Collects no usage data, analytics, or telemetry
- Handles purchases and the optional Pro unlock through Apple, so we never receive your payment details
- Uses the microphone only when you record in the app, since version 1.14, and only to write that recording into the app's own library on your iPad. Nothing is transmitted
- The Reverie Capture audio unit records the audio of the bus it sits on, at your request, into the same local library. It does not listen otherwise
- Stores its library in a container shared between the app and its audio units, on your device only
Your audio files, recordings and creations never leave your device.

What we collect
When you buy Atavism, Stripe processes your payment and shares with us your email address and billing country. We use the email to deliver your licence key and downloads, and to answer support requests. Your key is issued to that address. That is all.
What the plug-in does on your machine
Nothing about you. Activation is offline: the key is checked against a public key embedded in the plug-in, with no account, no server and no machine binding. The plug-in sends no telemetry. Its only network request is the update notice: once per session, a few seconds after the window opens, it fetches one public file on this site to learn the latest version number. That request carries no identifier, no version, no system information: we see of it what we see of anyone who opens a page here, an IP address in the server's log, kept as the rest of the site's logs are. You can turn the check off in the plug-in (Settings → About), and nothing is ever downloaded or installed by the plug-in itself. Presets, the key and that one preference are stored in a small folder in your user profile, and both installers leave them in place when you uninstall.
Payments
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe (stripe.com/privacy). We never see or store your card details.
Your rights
Email us to access, correct or delete the data we hold about you (your email and order history). We respond within 30 days.
