Atavism is a spectral effect plug-in (VST3, AU) that makes a pad out of whatever it is put on. Turn one knob and the drums stop hitting while the chords keep ringing: the pad is always in key and follows every chord change, because it is made of the track. Composers turn a cue into its own cinematic bed in a minute; producers use it for intros, breakdowns and ambient versions of a finished track; at 40 % under a master it fills the space between the hits with the song's own harmony. Not a reverb, not a delay, not a freeze; nothing gets longer. It borrows a reverb's engine, a long convolution, and refuses everything else a reverb does. It is built and maintained by Parallel Minds, a solo studio based in Lyon, France, whose first product, Reverie, turns recordings into long-form soundscapes. All processing runs locally, offline after activation.
